By using the Motion FX, I keep the same tweeters and mid-range woofer to keep everything exactly the same.Īny input, thoughts, criticism, etc. In all actuality, I guess 2 sets of Motion FXs would allow for both of these changes but I am more interested in the front wides. This would also allow me to move the Motion 15s up to the front wide speaker location or move a set of LX16s up top to make 6 atmos speakers. They will only stick out 6"-8" into the aisle but they will be wall mounted, so they will be much safer and secure. This is why I am so interested in your ML Motion FX speakers for my side surrounds.

My fear is that my kid and his buddies might accidentally knock over one of the speakers after watching a movie and getting real excited. This puts the front of the side surround speaker well into the aisle, nearly 2ft on each side. However, the back of the speaker needs to be pulled out from the wall about 8"-12" to breathe, as you well know. This is my dilemma: The Motion 15s and LX16s are great bookshelf speakers to use as surrounds. Surrounds: Emotiva BasX-700 (do not own yet, but I believe this would be sufficient power for the application, 80 watts RMS per channel into 8 Ohms.)Ītmos: Emotiva BasX-500 (do not own yet, but I believe this would be sufficient power for the application, 80 watts RMS per channel into 8 Ohms.) I plan to run the miniDSP 4x10HD with the subs) Definitely not powerhouse subs, but they are identical and paid for. LFE: Infinity Entra 10s (I have 8 of them that I have accumulated over the years.
